It's the little things...

Happy Valentines Day!
I spent my morning working on my pantry and was surprised by my husband with a card, huge balloon and an orchid. I am still busy working on my pantry. It really is an overwhelming task but I am sure in the end it will be well worth it.
This morning I received one of the most meaningful valentines ever!  Handmade by my 5 year old.  She turned 5 at the end of last year and I have been working with her for quite some time on her alphabet.

Now this is a love note to cherish... I'm having a proud mommy moment.
Hope your day was just as sweet.

The Pantry

Where do I start? I am not an organized person nor do I claim to be. I yearn to have one of those houses that looks like a model home. My New Years resolution this year was to be more organized. So I guess now is the time to make that happen, right? I know that organizing is a PROCESS and it's not going to happen overnight. Right about now, I wish I could wiggle my nose like Samantha on Bewitched just to get the pantry tidy enough to show you.

Now my pantry didn't get like this overnight. If I go grocery shopping and ask the kids to help put away the groceries, this is what happens. If I make dinner and ask someone to put away the rice cooker guess what... It ends up on the floor!  I have organized an re-organized my pantry and it always ends up looking like an avalanche waiting to happen. This is that room in the house that I just want to close the door on and never open again. Ugh.. I could scream just thinking about it. So without further ado I will now unveil (in a spooky voice) "The Pantry". Yes, I know it needs some serious help!
